Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, case management, public relations or related field is required.
• Previous healthcare services or health insurance experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial advocacy counseling to patients and families on insurance coverage and payment options.
• Screen self-pay patients and evaluate eligibility for governmental and non-governmental programs.
• Develop and discuss payment plans with eligible patients and assist with benefit applications.
• Identify potential payers including Commercial Insurance and Private Insurance.
• Assist with completing Financial Assistance Applications and related paperwork.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve patient financial concerns and ensure accurate benefit start dates.

Education
