Job summary

InterMed, P.A. is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the primary contact for patients calling with medical concerns, administrative requests, and scheduling matters in a fast-paced call center.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong scheduling judgment, and superb listening and communication skills. On-site training for 3–4 weeks and Maine residency are required to ensure smooth operations and adherence to care protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to support patients using a calm demeanor, compassion, and empathy.
• Proficiency with Windows based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls for multiple Primary Care practices.
• Schedule routine and follow-up patient appointments; reschedule or cancel as needed.
• Assist patients with prescription refills and referral requests; provide general practice information.
