Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia's MU Student Health Center (SHC) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to welcome patients, manage the registration desk, verify demographics, load insurance, collect copays, and schedule appointments.

The PSR will support coordination with providers, handle phone calls, assist with no-shows and rescheduling, and help cover other front-desk duties as needed. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of frontline customer service experience.
• Strong communication and guest relations skills.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; manage check-in/check-out and demographics.
• Load insurance, collect copayments, and schedule appointments.
• Notify providers of no-shows and coordinate referrals.
• Answer main phone line and maintain waiting area; assist other PSR roles as needed.
