Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Services Representative to provide front-desk support and administrative assistance in the Audiology department and general clinic operations.

You will verify patient information, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records. The role requires basic medical terminology knowledge, strong communication skills, and a proactive, patient-friendly approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and telephone skills.
• Medical terminology and 1 year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train to ensure coverage at all times.
• May travel between departments to assist in coverage as required.
• Assist in training Patient Care Service staff.
• Follow and manage provider schedules and update calendars.
• Schedule new and established patients according to clinic guidelines.
• Verify and update patient information and insurance details.
• Collect payments and balance/deposit daily.
• Make return appointments and manage check-in procedures.
• Take messages for staff and route messages accordingly.
• Prepare charts according to office procedure.
• Maintain a patient-friendly atmosphere with professional demeanor.
• Duties may vary by assignment (e.g., check-in or scheduling).
• File documents daily in medical records.
• Maintain office equipment and assist in cross-training.
