Job summary

Skin Dermatology in Central Massachusetts is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (Medical Receptionist) to join our front office team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming and professional environment while guiding them through appointments and insurance details.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, schedule visits, and coordinate the patient journey with a focus on exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, providing a warm, professional welcome.
  • Answer incoming calls and patient messages with exceptional service.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments for provider efficiency.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and demographic information prior to appointments.
  • Obtain and manage insurance referrals and assist with prior authorizations as needed.
  • Educate patients on insurance requirements, copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and self-pay options.
  • Collect patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain accurate patient registration and ensure all required documentation is complete.
  • Coordinate patient flow to provide an efficient and seamless office experience.
  • Assist with office operations, including inventory management and admin projects.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient experience.
  • Proactively identify and resolve patient concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.

Qualifications
