Qualifications

• Front office or dermatology medical receptionist experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the provider's calendar efficiently.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service.
• Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EMR/EHR system.
• Manage patient check-out process, including scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Handle medical office administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and correspondence.
