Job summary

Penn Medicine in Plumstead Family Practice is seeking a Patient Services Associate to support a patient/customer focus, assist in delivering high quality care, and help meet patient satisfaction and financial targets. The PSA handles arrivals/departures, answers calls, schedules appointments, updates insurance and billing details, and performs point-of-service activities in either a physician practice or a call center environment.

Rotation between PSA functions may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of medical office or customer service experience.
• Advanced degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient arrivals/departures and checkout.
• Manage patient calls, inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
• Update insurance/billing information and verify demographics in EMR.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
