UPMC's Patient Services Representative role involves welcoming patients, educating them on copayments and financial obligations, and collecting payments at the point of service. You will promote MyUPMC and guide patients through self-check-in while ensuring accurate patient information and smooth administrative flow.

The position runs Monday through Friday daytime shifts with occasional travel to other UPMC Children's Hospital locations.

Qualificações

• This role requires a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in a high-volume medical, billing, or customer service function is preferred.
• Outpatient office experience is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and use clinical/administrative software.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients warmly, guides them through self-arrival technology or check-in, and collects copayments at the point of service.
• Confirm/update patient information, schedule follow-up appointments, and connect patients to resources for ancillary services.
• Provide clear instructions, follow up on unresolved patient needs, and take appropriate action for service recovery.
• Register patients for Biometrics, promote MyUPMC, assist with financial education, verify insurance, and obtain consent forms.
• Handle phone calls, assist with administrative tasks, and other duties as needed.
