Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Part-Time Patient Relations Representative to welcome patients and families at UF Health Jax and UF Health North hospitals and clinics. Under supervision of Patient Relations Manager, you will liaise between patients, families, staff, and visitors, guiding them through hospital processes and resources.

Work schedule Wednesday through Friday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at 152255 Max Leggett Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32217.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Associate's Degree or foreign language.
Must be able to work with people and help others.
Strong problem solving, communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
Capable of working with diverse groups.
De-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

Facilitate a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families.
Serve as liaison between patients, families, visitors and staff.
Orient and support patients and families regarding hospital environment, amenities and resources.
Assist with arrival processes including Welcome Kiosk and pre-registration.
Manage lobby and waiting areas and address potential concerns.
Coordinate services and provide crisis intervention and community resources information.
