Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Patient Ambassador to provide patient-focused support across food, linen, housekeeping and supply services under the supervision of the Patient Food Services Manager. You will help deliver and recover patient meals to designated rooms and assist with entry of meal orders using CBORD per dietary protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Food Handlers within 90 days of hire.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the delivery and recovery of patient meals to designated patient rooms or nursing units.
• Assists with meal order entry via the CBORD software program while following dietary protocols.
• Assists with the inventory and stocking of supplies in patient support areas.
• Assists with make-ready responsibilities for patient meal supplies such as delivery carts and related tabletop items.
