Job summary

The Patient Experience Liaison at MUHA focuses on addressing concerns and improving the hospital experience for patients and families. The role collaborates with care teams and administration to resolve issues and enhance service quality throughout the patient journey.

Responsibilities include rounding, communicating patient preferences, and following up post-discharge. A high school diploma and CMA/medical assisting training are required, with BLS and professional certifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, NAHP, MedCA, CCMA or NCCT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted rounding to optimize care plan and dispositioning.
• Establish rapport with patients and families and communicate preferences to the team.
• Respond to complaints and concerns and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve delays in service and inform patients/families.
• Identify trends to suggest action plans and improve service quality.
• Perform 24–48 hour post-discharge follow-up as needed.
