Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Experience Liaison to work with patients and families to address concerns and enhance satisfaction within the hospital setting. This role coordinates with care teams and departments to resolve issues and improve the overall patient experience.

Requires graduation from an accredited LPN program, SC or compact-state LPN licensure, and current BLS certification. The position is employee, regular, with 40 hours per week and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in SC or a compact state
• Graduation from a recognized LPN program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Computer literacy and ability to use hospital systems

Responsibilities

• Conducts targeted rounding to optimize care plan and dispositioning
• Establishes rapport with patients and families to learn priorities and communicate findings to the care team
• Responds to complaints and concerns and escalates issues to appropriate staff
• Works with departments to resolve delays in service and communicates updates to patients/families
• Identifies and implements processes to improve communication and patient experience
