Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of Washington Hospital Center. You will clean patient rooms, nursing units, and public areas, perform STAT cleanings, and assist with terminal cleaning using UV technology.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 0–6 months of related experience. The role involves cleaning, dusting, mopping, and stocking supplies across multiple hospital areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic addition and subtraction.
• Follow basic instructions and safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail in cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms and other hospital areas including toilets, surfaces, and floors.
• Performs terminal cleaning with UV machine in ORs and patient areas as required.
• Responds to STAT cleaning requests and maintains supply stocks for carts and closets.
