Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to help deliver high-quality, safe food services to patients and staff. You will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food prep, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety, and engage with patients about dietary needs.

You should have at least 1 year of food service or customer service experience, a high school diploma, and cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of Food Service or Customer Service Experience.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meal trays to patients and staff.
• Assist with food preparation and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety compliance and proper labeling.
• Interact with patients regarding dietary needs and preferences.
• Handle cashiering and serving in the retail area as needed.
• Assemble, deliver and retrieve patient trays and perform utility tasks.
• Support inventory maintenance and general cleaning of equipment.
