Job summary

HCA Healthcare's St. David's South Austin Medical Center seeks a Food Service Associate II to support patient and staff meals, manage the dishroom and cafeteria areas, and ensure sanitary food handling throughout service.

You will prepare salads and desserts, deliver patient trays, operate the cash register, stock the storeroom, and assist in cleaning the kitchen and cafeteria areas in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Food Handlers Permit required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, medical staff and cafeteria meals in a sanitary manner.
• Washes and stores pots and pans; maintains the dishroom.
• Delivers food carts to patient floors and passes out trays.
• Operates cash register and handles cash according to department policies.
• Orders produce; maintains vegetable and fruit rotation and storage.
• Assists in stocking the storeroom and cleaning kitchen, storeroom and cafeteria areas.
