Job summary

St. David's HealthCare is seeking a Food Service Associate II at St. David's South Austin Medical Center to support patient meals and cafeteria dining. The role includes dishroom duties, tray service, salad prep and maintaining sanitation across kitchen and dining areas.

The position also involves cash handling, stocking and assisting with meal service while upholding safety and quality standards for patient care and staff nutrition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Food Handlers Permit required within 7 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, medical staff and cafeteria lunch and dinner salads and desserts
• Prepares and displays cafeteria salad bar items
• Orders produce and maintains rotation and storage of fruits and vegetables
• Maintains sanitary and organized salad area and cafeteria work spaces
• Delivers patient trays and passes out meals
• Operates cash register and handles cash as required
• Performs cleaning and janitorial duties as needed
