Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a PRN Food Service Assistant to support patient meal service. You will guide patients through meal orders, verify identifications, and maintain tray accuracy while delivering meals across units.

Responsibilities include rounding on staff and patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring timely, compliant service in a hospital setting. Requires ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and basic software use on devices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English (required).
• Ability to communicate with customers professionally in person and over the phone (required).
• Ability to handle customer interactions promptly, courteously, and helpfully (required).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (required).

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized diet office system.
• Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery and ensure tray accuracy.
• Round on patients and nursing staff to resolve foodservice concerns and perform service recovery.
• Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and standards.
