Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a versatile food service team member to perform routine tasks in the kitchen, cafeteria, dining room, dish room, and patient feeding areas. The role covers station setup, food preparation, tray assembly, and ensuring safety and sanitation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include delivering patient trays, stocking beverage and service areas, and maintaining accurate meal records while adhering to operating policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Sets up assigned station in the work area.
• Prepares, portions, assembles and labels patient and non-patient food items.
• Delivers patient trays to clinical areas and assists with tray assembly.
• Cleans tables, counters and kitchen equipment; sweeps and mops floors.
• Adheres to sanitation procedures and safety regulations.
