Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT is seeking a Food Service Associate to support Nutrition Services. You will prepare pediatric formulas, assist with tray-line service, and deliver meals to clinical units.

The role requires accuracy, good communication, and adherence to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include serving on the patient tray line, obtaining meal preferences, stocking and cleaning, and entering selections into the menu system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year hospital food service experience preferred.
• Must read, write and understand instructions.
• General knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and service knowledge.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric formula for the pediatric unit.
• Serve on the patient tray line and obtain meal choices.
• Deliver food items and formulas to clinical units.
• Check patient trays for accuracy during meal service.
• Enter patient meal selections into the menu system.
• Maintain sanitation and clean dish and prep areas.
• Assist with general kitchen duties as assigned.
