Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Rock Hill Hospital. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support dietary safety and accuracy, working with nursing and culinary teams.

Prior customer service experience is required. Responsibilities include coordinating with caregivers on dietary needs, adhering to HIPAA and HACCP, and assisting dietitians as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms on time.
• Follow HIPAA policies and HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning areas.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients with specific dietary needs.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department policies.
