Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates to join the team on the Forsyth Medical Center unit in Winston-Salem, NC.

You will help patients choose meals, assemble and deliver trays, and coordinate with nursing and culinary staff to meet dietary needs, timing, and safety standards.

This role requires prior patient dining experience, English literacy, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds; full-time and part-time schedules with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret English documents.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for dietary needs and preferences (allergies, cultural, religious).
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health/sanitation regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets when needed.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
