Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate I for a full-time role with rotating weekends. The position requires availability for a 12-hour shift between 6am and 7pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include patient meal service on assigned units, communication with Food & Nutrition Services, and support for dietitians in monitoring diets.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• 1 year of food service experience may be considered in lieu of High School Education.
• Food Handlers Card required at time of hire.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services and interact with Nursing regarding nutrition needs.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring patient diets and record food intake.
• Respond quickly to changes to ensure timely service and accurate diet orders.
• Maintain knowledge of dietary restrictions to ensure patient care and satisfaction.
• Ensure patient satisfaction on assigned units.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units. Communicates patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services, and interacts with Nursing in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake for patients on intake analysis. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets. Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Responsible for patient satisfaction on assigned units.

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• 1 year of food service experience may be consideried in lieu of High School Education

Certification/Licensure
