Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is hiring a Patient Dining Associate to provide patient meal service on assigned units and communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services.

Assist dietitians with monitoring of diets (NPO, clear liquid and full liquid), record patient food intake, and ensure accurate timing and modification of diets; prior restaurant/food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Exposure to hospital/Food & Nutrition Services environment is a plus.
• Ability to monitor diet orders and communicate needs to clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues/concerns to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring of patient diets (NPO, clear/full liquid).
