Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Eastern State Hospital Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) in Lexington, KY. Location is on-site with a fixed pay rate of $16.20 per hour. Prior food service experience is preferred, with full-time schedule and varying hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills for daily tasks.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and operate food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional needs.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, religious preferences, and additional selections.
• Assemble meals by patient menu, retrieve trays on schedule, and ensure timely delivery.
• Adhere to regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all required reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
