• Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are integral to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with understanding menu options and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, religious preferences, and additional patient inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and promptly, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or with specific calorie requirements.
• Communicate patient concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete required reports and follow sanitation regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
