• Location: Baptist Desoto - 7601 Southcrest Parkway, Southaven, MS 78671. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time schedule. 12-hour shifts. Hours and days may vary; including rotating weekends. Half days on Wednesdays. More details upon interview.

• Pay Rate: $14.74 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, providing services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up their meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the right time and temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure their orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, religious preferences, or additional inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient's menu selection in a timely and accurate manner. Retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO. Adhere to confidentiality and patient rights policies per HIPAA.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray line.
• Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians, such as monitoring patients on liquid diets or with specific calorie needs.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all required reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
