We have openings for part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATES (DIETARY AIDE) positions.

Location: Cleveland Clinic - Mentor - 8300 Norton Parkway, Mentor, OH 44060. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Shifts will vary, including some weekends and holidays. Shifts can range from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Hospitality or customer service experience preferred. Dietary Aide experience a plus.

Pay Range: $16.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in healthcare facilities, helping patients make menu selections, assemble, deliver, and pick up meal trays. They are integral to the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure nutritional requirements are met.
• Work with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate food allergies, cultural preferences, and additional requests.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or with specific nutritional needs.
• Communicate patient concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
