Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) roles at the Ochsner Medical Westbank in Terrytown, LA. Schedules: 6:30 am–7:00 pm; may vary; weekends and holidays required. Training provided.

You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals on time, and collaborate with nursing and culinary teams to meet nutritional needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies and preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and HIPAA policies.
