Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate; Additional college training in Dietetics or related field preferred.
• Experience: Prior health care experience or knowledge of dietetics and medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledgeable in basic computer skills and able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Visits patients to assist with menu selections.
• Responds to patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Communicates diet orders and patient information to the Clinical Dietitian and care team.
• Establishes and maintains positive communication with patients and families.
• Checks tray tickets against the EMR to ensure accuracy and alignment with diet orders and patient preferences.
