Job summary

Care New England Health System in Providence, RI, is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support patient and patron meals, prepare and serve food with proper portion control, and assist with sanitation, cleanliness, and safety across the dietary department.

You will follow oral and written instructions, keep accurate records, operate the cash register according to policy, and assist in other dietary functions as needed to ensure efficient service and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation and served food to patrons, using proper portion size and method of service.
• Operates cash register in accordance with hospital and department policy and procedures.
• Adheres to sanitary regulations and department policy and procedures when handling food and equipment and in maintaining clean work area.
• Adheres to Hospital and department policies/procedures regarding attendance, uniform, personal hygiene and job duties.
• Assists in other dietary department functions.
