Job summary

ClearSky Health is opening a new Rehabilitation Hospital in Eau Claire, WI, and seeks a Dietary Aide to support patient meals under supervision. You will assist in meal preparation, portioning, and safe handling, while maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas and accurate diet records.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some healthcare food service experience, with strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Proficiency with general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain quality, Infection Prevention, and safety standards.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Handles food using proper food handling and safety techniques.
• Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and keeps it in safe condition.
• Completes general cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of the work area.
• Assists with stocking Dietary department with essential patient food items.
• Operates dish machine.
• Maintains records regarding patient diet information.
• Interacts with patients and families with sensitivity to age/development.
• Supports safety and infection prevention standards.
