Job summary

ClearSky Health in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in patient meal service and support the dietary department. You will prepare and pre-portion meals, follow safety policies, keep equipment clean, and help maintain patient diet records.

This role requires basic math, strong communication, attention to deadlines, and the ability to work with diverse teams. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with healthcare food service experience and a Food Handler’s permit preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Proficient with general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain quality, Infection Prevention, and safety standards.
• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques.
• Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition.
• Maintains records regarding patient diet information.
• Operates dish machine according to established procedures.
• Assists with keeping Dietary department stocked with essential patient food items.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
