Borland Groover is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients at our gastroenterology clinic. The MOS will handle non-clinical administrative tasks, greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect copays at check-in/check-out to support smooth clinic operations.

The role requires HIPAA compliance, excellent customer service, data entry proficiency, and familiarity with EMR and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and answer questions.
• Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient information into EHR/PM system.
• Answer calls and manage EHR tasks.
