Job summary

Gulf Coast Spine in Tampa, FL is seeking a Front Desk team member to welcome patients, check them in, verify demographics and insurance, and collect payments. This role supports the clinic's patient-centered practice and travels to other locations as needed.

The position requires HS diploma, BLS, RMA preferred; 1 year call center/medical experience; strong communication and multitasking abilities; travel between offices may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant call center or medical experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service required.
• 1 year of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to problem solve as well as critical thinking.
• Proficient in professional and effective communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Effectively utilize available relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors in a friendly, courteous, and caring manner.
• Checks in and verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Collects payments.
• Maintains the reception area in an organized fashion.
• Prepares charts for the next clinic day.
• Inputs patient information into the system.
• Completes recalls for the week.
• Completes FMLA in a timely manner.
• Preps H&N Packets for the following week.
• Completes MRI Auths in a timely manner.
• Prints and distributes Fax Folder Daily.
• Filters tasks and reassigns as necessary.
• MA on Call for urgent calls
• Returns patient calls promptly.
• Scanning
• Reviews schedule for the following week.
• Assists in the office as needed
• Travels to other locations when needed
• Assists in clinic as needed
• Communicates with team members to support a patient-centered practice
• Other duties as assigned
