Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc in Stratford, NJ is seeking a Unit Secretary to support patient flow and administrative operations in the acute care unit.

The role involves data entry into the Hospital Information System, answering calls, coordinating admissions and discharges, and assisting with coordinating tests and inventory in partnership with unit leadership and supply chain. Strong communication and knowledge of medical terminology are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications of related secretarial & computer experience, knowledge of medical terminology.
• Preferred Qualifications diploma or equivalent.
• Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Creates an environment of belonging and inclusion, demonstrating problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Coordinates patient admissions, transfers and discharges; supports unit clerical functions.
• Coordinates patient testing/appointments and collaborates with supply chain to support inventory needs.
