Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Kentucky is seeking a pharmacist to fulfill prescription needs with meticulous accuracy and to provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.

You will ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws, including HIPAA, and maintain a professional image consistent with Kroger standards. Also responsible for knowledge of the trade area, inventory management, and staff coordination to meet business needs, while keeping records up to date and ensuring proper operation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree pharmacy
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• 1 year of retail experience
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with a focus on accuracy of every prescription filled
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws (HIPAA)
• Maintain a professional image and adhere to Kroger dress standards
• Achieve knowledge of the trade area, customers and competition
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, records, and recalls per policy
• Maintain records and security on all scheduled drugs
• Ensure all accuracy tools are utilized appropriately
• Maintain proper signage and store areas to present a professional image
• Broadening personal knowledge and pharmacy skills
