Job summary

Lynn Community Health Center in Lynn, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its patient-centered care team. The MA will perform vital signs, room patients, collect health histories, and assist providers while maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR.

As a core member of an interdisciplinary health home, you will support POCT, screenings, scheduling, and caregiver communication, upholding Joint Commission standards and delivering high-touch care to diverse populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program with externship or 6 months’ experience.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/Khmer/Russian with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Exceptional attendance and a positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient satisfaction by managing patient flow and keeping appointments on schedule.
• Assure all data, documentation, and forms are available to the provider prior to the visit.
• Obtain brief history and document vitals in the EHR.
• Perform vital signs, screenings, and point-of-care testing with accurate recording.
• Prepare the patient for examination and assist with procedures.
• Assist provider during and after the exam and maintain room readiness.
• Follow Joint Commission standards for QA and ensure safety.
