Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, seeks an FNS Associate Lead to coordinate patient meals and service with the ED. You will prepare patient meal trays, assist with meal delivery, and supervise during management absences.

You will focus on safety, accuracy, and compassionate service, ensuring 100% patient satisfaction while handling floor stock and cafeteria duties. This role requires weekend and evening shifts, and interaction with multiple hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years food service experience.
• Preferred: High School diploma/GED; formal training in food service production/management; institutional cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct liaison between Food and Nutrition Services and the Emergency Department.
• Assist with preparing and delivering patient meal trays.
• Coordinate meal service between Food Service Department and Emergency Department.
• Ensure high quality products, accuracy of orders, and timeliness of patient meal delivery.
• Operate cash handling per guidelines.
