Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking a Safety Security Associate Officer to help maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff at our Oregon facilities. You will monitor security, provide courteous information, and support security operations across Legacy properties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, DPSST/unarmed certification within 120 days, and BLS, with prior security or first responder experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; DPSST certification requirements may vary by Legacy.
• BLS certification within 14 days of placement.
• DPSST unarmed certification must be obtained within 120 days of start date.
• Legacy de-escalation training certification within 120 days of start date, with recertification as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and security of patients, employees, visitors, and physicians.
• Provide courteous information as a resource to customers and visitors.
• Oversee security of Legacy Health property, including buildings and assets.
• Guard or observe designated areas; not authorized to arrest or restrain.
• May observe behavioral health patients or staff a desk position as needed.
• May staff Legacy Enhanced Security Screening stations (X-ray scanners, metal detectors, etc.).
