Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain DPSST certification within 90 days.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license.
• Preferred: CAHSO certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of patients, caregivers and visitors.
• Operate metal detectors and alarms as directed.
• Regularly inspect entrances and public areas for security.
• Provide de-escalation and crowd-control support as needed.
• Coordinate with admitting and nursing staff for monitored entrances.
• Monitor cameras and respond to alarms related to facilities.
