Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license.
• BLS certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
• All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• Knowledgeable about patient rights and effective communication with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records initial assessment and prioritizes care by patient age and needs.
• Re-assesses patients to identify progress requiring intervention.
• Develops and implements a measurable plan of care within Nursing Standards.
• Makes nursing decisions and updates the plan based on outcomes.
• Supports education and discharge planning for patients and families.
• Delivers timely interventions and evaluates the care plan.
• Performs various Point of Care testing procedures.
• Communicates with the team to delegate tasks and ensure quality care.
• Participates in orientation and acts as a resource to staff and visitors.
