Job summary

The position requires a BSN preferred and typically 1 year of related nursing experience. BLS and RN license in the state of employment or a compact license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
