Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process.

You will partner with patients and families to create individualized care plans that address physical, psychological, and social needs in alignment with cultural values. The role requires specialized RN licensure in Pennsylvania, BLS, and strong teamwork across hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and effective communication with patients and families.
• Cultural awareness and ability to engage with diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and nursing care processes.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and RN license in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients and families to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Use information systems to document care, monitor outcomes and support patient safety.
• Provide education to patients and families on care plans, medications and post-discharge needs.
• Participate in committees and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
