Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab settings, perform phlebotomy and injections, and manage patient flow. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient-centered care, and teamwork within BVMS practices.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of cross-training across BVMPs. Experience with EMR and blood draws is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to cross-train to other positions within the practice as needed.
• Compliance with BVHS privacy policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist physician with patient care and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and clinical areas for visits.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Complete registration accurately and document charts.
• Utilize clinical and clerical skills to support care.
• Contribute to patient experience and uphold BVHS mission and values.
• Participate in process improvement and other duties as assigned.
