Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and extenders with patient care and clerical duties. You will ensure smooth patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and document vital signs in the EHR. The role requires MA program graduation and strong English communication skills.

Proficiency with EHR and PMS, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks, is essential. BLS is preferred, and travel to satellite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and assist in patient flow and care.
• Take vital signs and document accurately in the EHR.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Provide referrals and consult orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain supplies and assist in transitions to care when needed.
