Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs across clinical tasks, patient flow, and clerical duties. The role emphasizes room preparation, patient comfort, and accurate documentation in the EHR.

You\'ll handle vital signs, maintain supplies, assist with orders, and help transition care to UCC or hospital as needed. Requires MA program graduate, BLS, and strong English communication; on-site at NJ offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares information for visits.
• Documents vitals and allergies in the EHR accurately.
• Assists with orders, referrals, and scheduling in the PMS/EHR.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked and assists in supplies management.
• Supports transition of care to UCC/Hospital and maintains safety practices.
