Job summary

The Wright Center for Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support primary clinical teams and help deliver quality patient care. You will work under supervision from the Medical Assistant Manager and Health Center Manager, performing essential duties to keep patient flow smooth.

You will take vital signs, assist with procedures, manage EMR entries, and ensure room readiness while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Administrative Medical Assistant/Nurse Aide program required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or eligible.
• Experience as MA in a physician office preferred.
• Bilingual skills strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist primary clinical teams and support care delivery.
• Perform vital signs, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection as needed.
• Prepare rooms, gather information, and document in EMR.
• Complete medication reconciliation and patient histories.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow throughout visits.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure infection control standards.
