Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support the Clinical Care Team in delivering patient-centered primary care. You will perform pre-visit planning, manage schedules, collect histories and vitals, and assist with procedures and med administration while documenting in the EHR/EMR and supporting quality measures.

The role requires a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate, current CPR, and 1+ year of back-office patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an approved program
• Current CPR certification
• Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
• Active CMA, RMA or equivalent certification from recognized bodies
• 1+ year of medical assistant experience in back-office patient care
• Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding
• Phlebotomy experience
• EMR familiarity
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type
• Manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs
• Room patients and healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments
• Perform specimen collection and point of care testing
• Prepare and administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EHR/EMR including HEDIS and Stars measures
• Maintain established quality control standards
