Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed training through an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic patient skills and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review daily appointment schedule with staff and plan patient care activities.
• Process lab letters, phone calls, prescription refill requests, referrals and prior authorizations.
• Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
• Travel to other locations as assigned and cross-cover co-workers as needed.
• Constructively participate in employee engagement and training activities.
