Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with residency and/or fellowship completed in area of specialty.
• Current or recent experience in area of specialty.
• MD or DO licensed by the state; board certified/eligible in specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations for all patients.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by medical staff.
• Demonstrate competency in assessment and treatment relevant to patient age.
• Communicate regularly with referring physicians, patients and families.
• Participate in education of patients and families.
• Evaluate and implement patient care plans; initiate treatment and review results.
• Coordinate referrals to physicians and allied health professionals as needed.
• Coordinate care with public and mental health agencies when appropriate.
• Teach wellness habits and educate patients on prevention and care.
• Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and confidentiality.
• Comply with safety policies and reporting requirements.
